An office doesn’t have to be a sterile soul-less place. Too often, a company’s physical workspace is overlooked, but is actually one of the most important factors in creating a happy workplace. Making an office into a home away from home makes it easier for people to be productive, creative and happy.
Pictured here is an office in central Macau that has been renovated by Ambiente Macau to achieve just that. A contemporary western look runs through the space, juxtapositioned by antique furnishings and accessories. Concrete and epoxy flooring was laid, while the open ceiling creates a loft-style feel. White painted walls make the space open and light, while the red feature wall makes a bold statement. There are new double-glazed windows running the full width of the office, and a new airconditioning system and ceiling fans have been installed.
A fully equipped kitchenette with concrete counter-top and oversized concrete sink adds to the homely feel of the office. New bathrooms were also added, complete with shower facilities, stainless steel fixtures, full wall mirrors, improved exhaust system, and an aqua-white colour scheme complemented with bamboo plants.
A bright new lobby was created using spanish outdoor tiles, concrete feature walls, hidden storage, and open ceilings. Lift doors were also spray-painted red, and fire exits renovated with new doors, concrete walls, and new tiling.
Currently the adjacent office offering over 1100 square feet of space is available for rent. Viewings can be arranged by emailing enquiries@ambiente.mo or contacting Suzanne Watkinson at +853-6622 8541 or Mr. Wong (Chinese speaker) at +853-6688 6456.
